Once your satisfied you have all your poles firmly in the ground, it’s time to start putting up wire. Begin at one of the corner posts and start securing the end of the roll of wire to the post with the fence staples. When the end of the roll is secure to the post, simply unroll the wire to the next post and staple the part of the fence wire that comes in contact with the post. Continue this process until you have completely wrapped all the posts.

Of course you need a gate to get in and out. Most chicken hutch plans will include several different ways of constructing a gate. Some gate plans will simply be constructed of several hinges, a latch and some partical board while plans can be quite elaborate, yet easy and simple to construct.
